Ada tiga tipe penulisan date :
We celebrated the recent National Day of Indonesia on 17 August 2010.
We celebrated the recent National Day of Indonesia on August 17, 2010.
We celebrated the recent National Day of Indonesia on the 17th of August, 2010.

All three formats of date in the sentences are correct. Please take note that when using 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th… in writing a date, article ‘the’ must be added in front of the date. Otherwise, the date format used in the sentence will be considered wrong.
