I just finished one great novel authored by Khaled Hosseini, famous with his first novel The Kite Runner (best seller novel) that achieved more than 8 millions copy around the world.
I am really tempting to read The Kite Runner, It's cool than his second novel I guess.

This novel tells the story about Afghan girls, called Mariam also the other girls Laila. Mariam known herself as a Harami or in Bahasa we can say "Anak Haram."

Mariam life was very tragic, his mother kill herself, his father doesn't confess her as his biological child, she doesn't has anyone in this world except herself alone. She has his spiritual teacher who always teach her "mengaji"

His biologic father is a famous and a rich man in Herat, she loves her father deeply. When she going home after go to her father's home, she founds a dead body hanging in the tree...that is her lovely mother.

The story begins...when her father sell her to the old-ugly-widower man called Rasheed. This is where her journey is about to starting. About her married life, how she meets Laila.
How Laila meets her true love: Tarikh.
Sad story actually, but its taught us many things, about love, sacrifice...Its also tell about how mean the war was.

So...as always hurry up, read this cool novel :D
